The Opportunity
Are you a technically minded Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems in critical environments?
We are representing a global leader in security and threat detection technology looking for a dedicated Service Engineer to join their on-site team at a site in Brisbane.

This isn't your standard "on the road" field service role.
You will be based permanently on-site, working with cutting-edge X-ray and screening technology that ensures the safety of of people every day.

The Role
As a Service Engineer, you will be the frontline expert responsible for the reliability and performance of sophisticated electronic and electrical equipment. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Performing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to keep critical systems running 24/7.

• Rapidly responding to equipment breakdowns and performing intricate repairs.

• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new, state-of-the-art detection machinery.

• Collaborating with site stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

The Schedule

This role offers a unique 4-on, 4-off rotation, working from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It’s perfect for someone who wants their afternoons back and enjoys a consistent, predictable shift pattern.
Please note: this role includes working weekends and public holidays on a rotating basis.

About You
You are a diagnostic specialist. Whether you come from a background in Special Purpose Machinery, Biomedical Equipment, or ATM/Vending technology or similar you understand the nuance of electrical and electronic systems.

• Technical Base: Strong electrical/electronic skillset with a "hands-on" mechanical understanding.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; you can explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders clearly.

• Licensing: While a Radiation License is a major plus, we will provide full training and certification for the right candidate.

• Adaptability: You are comfortable working in a secure, fast-paced environment and ideally are ready to start by June 1st.
