B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Overview

A long-established regional maintenance organisation is expanding its Cairns facility and requires additional CASA Part 66 B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. The operation maintains a mixed turboprop fleet, with forthcoming Q400 type training available to successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics maintenance in accordance with Part 145 and MOE procedures.

• Troubleshoot, rectify and certify electrical/avionic systems faults.

• Complete and maintain accurate technical records and documentation.

• Liaise with planners, B1 engineers and supply chain to meet aircraft release deadlines.

• Adhere to all safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

Essential Criteria

• Current CASA Part 66 B2 licence (or ICAO licence convertible to CASA).

• Recent experience on pressurised transport-category turboprop or regional jet aircraft.

• Sound knowledge of aircraft avionics/electrical systems and applicable regulations.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented maintenance environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Desirable

• Prior Q400 maintenance experience (differences course can be provided).

• Familiarity with Part 145 maintenance information systems.

• Willingness to relocate to Cairns (relocation assistance available).
