Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – AW139 (B1.3)
Location: Bankstown, NSW (with occasional support to Canberra, Orange, and Wollongong)

An experienced provider of specialised mission-critical helicopter services is seeking a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to support its operations and maintenance program across a modern fleet of medium helicopters.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Bankstown, NSW, offering the chance to contribute to a high-performing engineering team that plays a vital role in community safety and emergency response across NSW and ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AW139 helicopters in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.

  • Conduct pre-task risk reviews and execute work in line with safety and quality standards.

  • Supervise or coordinate troubleshooting and rectification of faults to minimise aircraft downtime.

  • Maintain a safe workspace for all personnel and visitors at maintenance facilities.

  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with CASA and internal regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical trade qualification and CASR Part 66 B1.3 licence with AW139 type rating.

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) or equivalent.

  • Extensive experience with AW139 or other medium helicopters.

  • Strong understanding of general aircraft maintenance practices and Civil Aviation Regulations.

  • High level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Broader industry experience across rotary-wing platforms.

  • Strong safety focus and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Willingness to travel to support regional bases as required.
