Location: Brisbane, QLD (preferred)
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 base + Profit Share + Vehicle

We’re seeking a hungry and driven Technical Sales Representative to break ground in a new market for a respected Australian business specialising in custom pumping solutions. With a fully equipped workshop and in-house engineering capability, the business is now expanding into a brand-new territory – and you’ll be the one leading the charge.

About the Role
This is a pure business development role. There is no set portfolio to inherit – just a handful of warm leads, a few open opportunities, and a blank canvas to make your mark. You’ll be supported and trained in the technical sales process and the product offering, with guidance from experienced team members.
You'll focus on building relationships across up to 200 potential customer contacts, from an initial base of around 15 key accounts. The team typically makes 50 calls and 8+ site visits per week, though expectations for you will be scaled and supported as you grow into the role.
This position is Brisbane-based, with some travel to sites in Mackay, Mount Isa, and Gladstone.
Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities in pumping solutions across mining, industrial, and related sectors

Make outbound calls to warm and cold prospects to introduce the business and understand customer needs

Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders – typically 150–200 contacts across 15+ accounts

Conduct site visits to understand application requirements and consult on technical solutions

Work closely with the workshop and engineering teams to deliver tailored customer outcomes

Commit to ongoing training, development, and process-driven sales activity

Track activity, pipeline, and results in alignment with performance goals
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of face-to-face sales experience (technical/industrial preferred but not essential)

A true hunger to learn, grow, and succeed in a new business development role

Comfortable making phone calls and engaging with new people

Coachable, process-driven, and eager to follow a structured sales approach

Confidence to tackle a new territory and grow into a senior-level sales role

Mining or industrial experience a plus – but not essential

Engineers with strong communication skills are welcome, provided they want to sell

Must be based in or willing to relocate to Brisbane
