Cyber Security Specialist – Sydney (Full-Time)

Are you ready to take the next step in your cyber security career? We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join a high-performing team in Sydney. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity where you’ll play a pivotal role in both Security Architecture and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain security architecture frameworks and technical standards

• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to embed security in system designs and cloud environments

• Conduct threat modelling and secure design reviews for IT systems

• Evaluate and implement security technologies including IAM, DLP, and data governance solutions

• Lead risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001)

• Oversee security awareness training and promote internal security compliance

• Support incident response and threat/vulnerability management

• Assist in D&T project implementation to ensure effective risk mitigation

• Support internal and external audits, monitoring operational compliance for IT controls

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT and/or Cyber Security

• 5+ years of experience in cyber security technologies and solutions

• Practical experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure), including identity management and workload protection

• Strong working knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements

• Experience in technology risk management, information security audits, reviewing security policies and procedures, and conducting security gap assessments
