Embedded SW Engineer (C++)

Location: Sydney (Chatswood/North Sydney area)

Salary: $140,000 – $150,000 + Super

Work Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you a "tech geek" who loves seeing your code solve rugged, real-world problems? This position is with a fast-scaling Australian Start-Up revolutionising how critical infrastructure is managed across remote environments.

The business is now moving into a high-growth scale-up phase.

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who wants to do more than just write code, someone who loves problem solving, enjoys complex problems and working on things at the forefront of technology. 

The Tech Stack

You will be working on a sophisticated ecosystem that transmits data over satellite and cellular networks to a high-traffic cloud platform.

• Languages: Primarily Modern C++ (OOP, templates) with some C.

• Hardware: ARM Cortex-M series (STM32 M3/M4 & NXP).

• OS: FreeRTOS (multi-threading).

• Protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, and IoT telemetry (Cellular/Satellite).

• Environment: Bare-metal coding and complex driver development.

About You

We need a "builder" someone who thrives in a flat, open structure and enjoys taking a project from prototype to mass manufacturing.

• Experience: 2–4+ years in embedded firmware development. We are open to "rising stars" or seasoned Seniors.

• Mindset: You take ownership of outcomes, not just tickets. You are comfortable debugging with an oscilloscope one hour and mapping out a firmware roadmap the next.

• Communication: Strong ability to document designs and collaborate across hardware and cloud teams.

• Location: You must be local to Sydney and happy to work from our North Sydney/Chatswood area office
