With continued growth across Australia and New Zealand, the company is expanding its service capability and seeking experienced Electrical & Electronic Field Service Engineers to join its high-performing team supporting installation, repair, and maintenance of its Checkpoint and Trace product lines.

About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer (FSE), you’ll be responsible for maintaining exceptional service standards and ensuring all customer sites meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Your work will include the installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and technical support of detection and screening systems. You’ll diagnose and repair faults at the electrical, electronic, and component levels while delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise onsite.

This role involves local and interstate travel, as well as participation in an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair the company’s full range of Checkpoint and Trace systems

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to reactive service calls

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic assemblies and components

• Deliver operator and technical training to customer personnel when required

• Conduct site surveys and provide pre-installation technical guidance

• Complete all documentation and service reports accurately and promptly

• Ensure compliance with QA, safety, and environmental standards

• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally onsite

• Travel across Australia and New Zealand as required

About You

You’re a hands-on engineer with a strong background in electrical, electronic, or mechatronic systems, and you thrive in a field-based role where no two days are the same. You take ownership of your work, enjoy solving technical challenges, and have a professional, customer-focused approach.

You’ll bring:

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a field service or maintenance engineering role

• Electrical, electronic, or mechatronic trade or degree qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability across control and electronic systems

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and PC-based diagnostic tools

• Willingness to participate in an on-call roster and occasional after-hours work

• Current driver’s licence and flexibility to travel interstate

Highly Regarded:

• Experience with detection, inspection, or screening systems

• Knowledge of networking, control systems, or computer hardware integration

• Understanding of QA, HSE, or regulated site compliance requirements
