Full Time | $90–120k + Super | Sydney (Office + Occasional Field Work)
A fast-growing technology company working with connected devices and advanced monitoring systems is seeking an L2 Technical Support Engineer to join their operations and engineering support team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real technical problems across both hardware and software, working with IoT-style devices, and supporting end users and internal teams through structured troubleshooting.
This is a hands-on technical role, working across diagnostics, system behaviour, connectivity, firmware, and device performance. You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams and contribute to continuous improvement across tools, systems, and documentation.
What You’ll Be Doing

Troubleshoot a mix of hardware and software issues across connected devices and platforms

Manage tickets and issues from intake through to resolution

Provide clear written and verbal guidance to users experiencing technical issues

Perform diagnostics, log reviews, device testing and configuration checks

Escalate unresolved issues to hardware, software or engineering teams

Conduct occasional field work for device assessments or support

Maintain accurate documentation, manuals and internal knowledge bases

Feed insights and patterns back into engineering for product improvement

Contribute to the development and support of new products and system features
What We’re Looking For

Experience in technical support, IT support, field engineering or hardware/software troubleshooting

Strong understanding of electronic hardware, devices, sensors, or similar systems

Confidence troubleshooting connected systems (firmware, connectivity, mobile devices, cloud platforms, etc.)

Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly in writing and verbally

Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently

Good documentation habits and attention to detail
-
Interest in working with IoT technologies and modern monitoring systems

Background in engineering (mechatronics/electronics) highly desirable but not required

Salary
$90k–$120k + super, depending on experience. Training provided.
